Questions to prepare before your enquiry
A useful enquiry describes what you need, the facts that affect it, and the outcome you expect. Keep copies of written quotations and clarify exclusions before agreeing to a service.
- Identify whether you need an individual or company account.
- Estimate monthly transaction volumes, currencies and international payment needs.
- Ask about minimum balances, account fees, transfers and foreign exchange charges.
- Confirm required identity, business, ownership and source-of-funds documentation directly with the bank.
- Check account access, online controls, service availability and closure conditions.
Turn your checklist into a brief
Summarise your circumstances, location, desired timeline and the questions still unanswered. At the enquiry stage, avoid sharing identity documents, banking passwords or sensitive records. A provider can explain its secure document process if you proceed.
